BlackRock Corporate High Yield Fund V is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund investment objective is to provide shareholders with income by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities that are rated in the lower rating categories of the rating services (BB or lower by Standard & Poor's or Ba or lower by Moody's) or in unrated securities considered by the Fund's investment adviser to be of comparable quality. The Fund also seeks to provide shareholders with capital appreciation. As of Aug 31 2012, the Fund's investment portfolio totaled $584,232,874 and its assets totaled $599,479,333.
