CFS Bancorp is a unitary savings and loan holding company. Through its banking subsidiary, Citizens Financial Bank (the Bank), a federal savings bank, Co. provides a range of financial services to clients who are primarily located in Northwest Indiana and Cook and DuPage counties in Illinois. The Bank is principally engaged in the business of accepting deposits from the general public and using these deposits to originate consumer, residential, and commercial loans, with commercial loans focused primarily on commercial and industrial loans with companies and owner occupied commercial real estate. As of Dec 31 2012, Co. had total assets of $1.14 billion and total deposits of $965.8 million.
