Ablynx is a biopharmaceutical company. Through its subsidiary, Co. is engaged in the discovery and development of Nanobodies, a class of therapeutic proteins based on single-domain antibody fragments for a range of serious and life-threatening human diseases. Co. develops products for various disease areas, including inflammation, thrombosis, oncology, and pulmonary diseases. Its lead programmes include ALX-0081, an intravenously administered novel anti-thrombotic, is under Phase II clinical trials in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention; and ALX-0681, an anti-thrombotic is under Phase II clinical trials in patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
